A very fine Baroque-style chalice dating from around 1880
Made by Silversmith Marie-Thierry in Paris
The base features an ornate design with three angels’ heads in the round; the cartouches on the base and the false cup are of the finest quality
On the false cup: Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, the Last Supper and the Nativity
On the knot: three beautiful angels’ heads
On the base: the Crucifixion, the Stations of the Cross and the Resurrection
This beautiful chalice is suitable for use at Easter and Christmas
Original gilding; slightly faded on the knot, but still clearly visible throughout
A magnificent paten featuring the relief scene of the Descent from the Cross
Can be supplied with an antique carrying case
